MLK Day Book Fundraiser & Art Market

Join Northern Michigan E3 and Right Brain Brewery as we raise money to support TCAPS Libraries.

Books provide mirrors and windows for readers to see themselves in the world and to see new perspectives. The top three groups represented in children's books, for example, are white, colors (blue, purple, green, etc.), and animals. Children of Color are hardly in the top five let alone the multitude of backgrounds included in diverse populations.

At Right Brain Brewery Saturday, January 15th come out for a fundraiser to support TCAPS Libraries buying inclusive books for our schools.

There will be an Art Market focusing on local Black makers and an Open Mic playing into the evening. Food is available by donation.
